A hollow ball built from 24 copies of one part. Ferritin
keeps iron in a form that cannot rust the cell: it oxidises Fe(II) at the
way in and stores the mineral inside the shell. Human H chain.

The asymmetric unit is one chain. The 24-mer is
assembly 1, deposited as 24 models of that chain, and the baker merges
them chain-aware — taking model 1 would bake a twenty-fourth of
the ball and it would look fine.
The site is the file's own bonds. The iron is
CONECTed to Glu27, Glu62 and His65; Glu61 and Tyr34 are the rest of
the site and carry no bond to this metal, which is the picture telling
the truth about a di-iron centre with one iron in it.
1FHA was crystallised through engineered contacts
— its own title says so. The fold is wild-type human H ferritin;
the crystal is not what nature does.
The calcium is buffer. Two Ca per chain at 0.5 and
0.33 occupancy, not part of the site, and not drawn.
Turn the molecule, then copy. Paste it into
view.basis in proteins.js with
by: 'human', which would replace the deposited frame
the cage was reviewed in.
